Beta Testers Needed: Theme Gallery Widget for S60 5th edition
We have cooked a small widget for S60 5th edition Nokia smartphones that enables you to view and download themes from our site. The Theme Gallery widget uses the Symbian Themes database to give you access to the themes that are compatible with your device. You can browse themes and use the download buttons to download the preferred theme file on your smartphone.
The Theme Gallery widget is tested on Nokia N97 but should work without any problems on Nokia N97 mini, Nokia X6, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, Nokia 5235 and Nokia 5230 Nuron.

Announcement: Theme developer bonus program
Being part of the Symbian Themes website has its advantages. If you have noticed earlier we have included PayPal donation links next to all your themes. This enables the users who downloaded and liked your theme to quickly send a few bucks for coffee or beer to you via PayPal. To update your PayPal donation link login to Share with your username / password and follow the instructions on the "Edit PayPal Information" page to setup your PayPal donations link.Now about the part where we give bonuses to you. With the help of our partners ThinkWeb LLC, who helped us redesign the website and implement all the new amazing features we managed to secure a fund for bonuses which we are going to give away. How many, how much you might be asking? For now there are exactly 100 developer bonuses $10.00 each. How to get one? The rules are very simple:
- Create a theme - PLEASE BE ORIGINAL NO copycats or unauthorized usage of other theme makers elements - we are very serious about this;
- Upload the theme on the site
- If you theme gets 10.000 downloads in the first 30 days or the way we are counting 30 days * 24 hours * 60 minutes * 60 seconds = 2.592.000 seconds, you get a bonus.
- Once you see that you theme has 10.000 downloads, drop us an email at info [at] symbianthemes [dot] us and in a few days you will get your bonus.
- Please remember that trying to download your theme repetitively or using software or any other scripts to boost your downloads and cheat will not work. Although the downloads counter will register these downloads, we will inspect the download logs very carefully and if any unauthorized actions are found, you will not be able to receive your bonus and you will be disqualified from the bonus program.

10.000.000 downloads and more...
It's been a while since we last talked about numbers but we have two reasons to celebrate today. The first one is as you might have noticed we uploaded the new design along with some new features, we decided to skip the alpha testing and do the beta live with all of the site visitors. The new design is not only design but improvement in functionality. There are several new things on the site like user accounts, email notifications on comments, Facebook connect functionality, pulse and more... but there are many features that still need work and the development team is testing them as we speak. They will appear on the site very soon. Ops, I forgot to mention the help for all the people that have been posting comments on certificate problems and not looking into the FAQ section first, now we have added tips so before you post your comment about a problem we remind you to check for a possible solution.
Now, the second reason. Just as I was preparing to write this post, I noticed the download counter. WOW!!! 10.000.0000 downloads so far and only today we have served over 40.000 themes, that's one theme every two seconds. I just hope the server holds until the end of the month cos today it was running a bit slow with all the traffic pouring in. As of April 1st we hope to get some hardware reinforcements with the financial help of a few friends. If you are a developer and you are wandering about the theme developer bonuses we promiced, everything is OK, I just checked and it seems like babi and IND190 are getting a bonus this month and AJ23 and Sauromatum are on the way.
